One of the earliest projects I undertook was to transport replica Spitfires around the South of England for a television production called “A piece of Cake” about young pilots of WW2. This led onto manufacturing and placing various models which now adorn race tracks and are ‘gate guardians’ around the U.K. Ultimately the largest project led to construction and installation of the 20m model Concorde which was sited on the A30, West Ramp, Heathrow. This was commissioned by Lord King of B.A. through Saatchi and Saatchi. The aircraft was to remain a secret until it was installed, almost unbelievably It was made in a warehouse in Bow Common Lane, E3, and when completed we hid it, in clear view, alone in a hangar at Heathrow.
